Pull up your favorite “big announcement about to happen” theme song on your phone and check out the stories who made the finalist list for our Vice & Virtue contest! These stories are contending for inclusion in our eighth seasonal anthology, and they’re all fabulous!

Click any cover below to read the story, if you have a Havok membership. And if you don’t, now is the perfect time to get one! It’s just $4.99/year to access our entire collection of 1000+ flash fiction stories across five fun genres. Membership also gives you voting rights in the Readers’ Choice selection and qualifies you for our reader prizes!

Speaking of fabulous, the volunteer marketing team at Havok has grown in the past year or two, and the team worked hard to put together these wonderful story covers. Big shout-out to Jenneth Dyck, Hailey Huntington, Jane Maree, Mia Rumi, Rhia G. Adley, Faith Gammon, and our newest team member, Liz Arceo!

Congratulations to all the finalists!

What’s next for the Vice & Virtue anthology contest? So glad you asked. Watch for the cover reveal and winner announcement coming next month!

Your Dose of Weekday Fun

Welcome to Havok, where everyone gets free flash fiction every weekday and members of the Havok Horde can access the archives, rate the stories, and contend for reader prizes! Join the Horde, or enjoy today’s story… we hope you’ll do both!

In celebration of our MULTIVERSAL anthology launch, the Havok website is offering an extended Flash Peek at our archives! Okay, okay, so this wasn't actually the original plan, but some nasty hackers have prompted us to pivot quickly to keep our daily Mon-Fri story releases from getting disrupted. Better an imperfect website that showcases a contest entry story than a hacked website without one!
