Our Origin Story

Havok Magazine was the brain child of the Splickety Publishing Group. Havok brought subscribers a quarterly dose of speculative flash fiction in sleek and shiny magazine form. We published science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, cyberpunk, paranormal, supernatural, horror, techno-thriller, superhero, and more from best-selling and award winning authors to never-before-published writers.

Metamorphosis

Splickety Publishing Group ceased to exist as of January 1, 2019. But its most successful imprint, Havok Magazine, lives on. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Havok was reborn as Havok Publishing. In our first year as Havok Publishing, we published more stories than five combined years as Havok Magazine. Now, we’re on our eighth year of a mysterious sci-fi thrill ride where our wacky fantastical stories (did we mention award winning?) delight readers each weekday. To put it simply: we’re your weekly dose of flash fiction fun and have been since 2019.

And it doesn’t stop there. The best-of-the-best stories are collected into anthologies for you to take along in your pocket or on paper.
