Havok Story Podcast: Episode 46

The Havok Story Podcast is an every-other-week audio narration of selected flash fiction from the Havok story collection, released on all major podcast outlets via Anchor.fm.

“Bad Help is Hard to Find” by Todd Hertz

“It was a typical night in Doomslyvania, where the weather was frequently dark and stormy. Dr. Detestable had ranked the persistent dreary turbulence high in selling points when he’d chosen to build his castle laboratory on these steep, black cliffs. Top three, at least. Ominous circling vultures and a pathetic village to terrorize also scored well.”

Meet Our Podcast Host, Magnus Carlssen

Half a lifetime of getting lost in fantastical worlds and several careers in the creative arts have only scratched the surface of preparing Magnus for the magnificent and Herculean responsibility of bringing Havok authors’ stories to life in audio form. After a mid-life crisis that, in his own words, “sharpened my focus to the point of a laser in a prism factory,” he returned to his Scandinavian roots of storytelling. He is fluent in exactly one language and lives near an imaginary lake with his wife, two daughters, and invisible lap cat. // carlssen.co.uk

Your Dose of Weekday Fun

Welcome to Havok, where everyone gets free flash fiction every weekday and members of the Havok Horde can access the archives, rate the stories, and contend for reader prizes! Join the Horde, or enjoy today’s story… we hope you’ll do both!

In celebration of our MULTIVERSAL anthology launch, the Havok website is offering an extended Flash Peek at our archives! Okay, okay, so this wasn't actually the original plan, but some nasty hackers have prompted us to pivot quickly to keep our daily Mon-Fri story releases from getting disrupted. Better an imperfect website that showcases a contest entry story than a hacked website without one!
