Friends and countrymen, lend us your ears! We have Havok stories ON AUDIO NOW. Can we get some noise up in here? Clapping, whistling, joyous hoots ensue.
Today our first episode launches on all the major podcast outlets. And the best part? The best part is the versatile voice of our marvelous narrator, the inimitable Magnus Carlssen. This talented voice actor actually found us, and produced a couple of stories for some of our authors before catching our attention. Then we were hooked! Imagine our delight when Magnus agreed to join the ranks of Havok Hive volunteer staff, some of the most noble and generous people we know on the planet.
Meet Our Narrator, Magnus Carlssen
Half a lifetime of getting lost in fantastical worlds and several careers in the creative arts have only scratched the surface of preparing Magnus for the magnificent and Herculean responsibility of bringing Havok authors’ stories to life in audio form. After a mid-life crisis that, in his own words, “sharpened my focus to the point of a laser in a prism factory,” he returned to his Scandinavian roots of storytelling. He is fluent in exactly one language and lives near an imaginary lake with his wife, two daughters, and invisible lap cat. Find more of his narrations at magnuscarlssen.wordpress.com.
Episode 1: “Old-Fashioned Letters” by Dalia Grigorescu
This Wacky Wednesday tale from Season Two: Stories That Sing is full of understated humor, brilliantly delivered by our new narrator. Great job, Dalia! We hope you enjoy hearing Magnus breathe new life into your story.
You can also read Dalia’s story if you’re a Havok member right here in our story collection: Old-Fashioned Letters.
