February’s Contenders

February was a great month for Havok!

20 stories. 5 genres. Hundreds of members. Thousands of views.

Our editors have picked their favorite February stories. That means, the stories below are in contention for our first anthology! (You’ll have to wait until July to find out which ones make the final cut, though!)

If you don’t see your favorite story below, have no fear! Readers’ Choice voting goes through the end of June, so there’s still time to vote your favorite story into the anthology.

Here are the stories that caught our editors’ attention and the reason for their selection. Straight from our hive mind:

Mystery Monday

Trash Thief for its perfect mystery pacing, characterization, and pay off.

Now Fix It for being chilling and beautifully worded.

Techno Tuesday

World Redone for its use of virtual reality to enlighten reality.

Rendering for its heartfelt story of freeing those who are limited from sickness.

Wacky Wednesday

A Button for a Soul for its quality characterization and enchanting plot.

The Pet Rock Named Dave for its splendidly ludicrous situation.

Thriller Thursday

Worth Saving connected with a lot of people and was such a strong, thought-provoking story.

The Misfits was a very captivating. Plus, the characters were amazing! We really enjoyed it.

Fantasy Friday

Gilded Finality for its vivid description and emotion.

The Curse of Jasper Throe for its uniqueness and fun.
